Christian Eriksen signs for Manchester United

Christian Eriksen has signed for Manchester United on a 3-year deal. He has been a free agent all summer after serving the length of his 1-year contract at Brentford. There was only ever going to be one club emerging victorious for the signature of the 30-year-old midfielder.

Eriksen played a crucial role in keeping Brentford in the Premier League with his contribution of 1 goal and 4 assists in 11 matches. It’s clear for all to see that Eriksen is still a quality player and can contribute massively to United’s expected goals count. Brentford managed to get more than double the amount of points with Eriksen than they did without him. This is a fair indicator of the Danish player’s impact on that Brentford side.

Almost all of the noises online by United fans suggest that most fans are happy with this signing. Understandably so, having acquired such a quality midfielder on a free transfer. I personally think Eriksen will play a part in a lot of important goals we score for a couple of years at least.
